Welcome to the South Asia Management Association (SAMA), a dynamic organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in management and multidisciplinary practices throughout South Asia. Since our establishment in 1989, SAMA has rapidly become a premier platform for professionals, academics and industry leaders from various disciplines to collaborate, share insights and drive the advancement of management and interdisciplinary principles.
Our mission is to promote sustainable and inclusive growth by advancing knowledge, skills and ethical practice in management and related fields across South Asia. We are proud to be associated with the Research Foundation of India, as well as collaborators in Singapore, Nepal, Myanmar, China and Russia — reflecting our commitment to global collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Honouring Scholarship, Impact & Integrity
SAMA recognises outstanding academicians and researchers whose work advances knowledge, influences practice and serves society. Awards are conferred at SAMA International Conferences, offering global visibility and networking.
Early-Career Scholar
For scholars within 8 years of a PhD or equivalent, showing high-potential research and teaching.
Mid-Career Achievement
For sustained contributions in research, curriculum design and academic leadership with regional or global reach.
Lifetime Contribution
For distinguished scholars whose decades of work have shaped disciplines and mentored future leaders.
Eligibility
- Academicians, researchers and scholar-practitioners affiliated with a recognised institution.
- Original contributions shown through publications, patents, projects or teaching.
- A strong ethical record and adherence to international research-integrity standards.
- Nominations via institution or peer; self-nominations allowed with two references.
Submissions must include a CV (max 6 pages), a statement of impact (max 800 words) and supporting evidence.
Evaluation Rubric
A diverse international jury reviews each dossier, using double-blind review where feasible.
Submission Checklist
- Nomination letter (max 2 pages) outlining merit and category.
- Curriculum Vitae (max 6 pages) with selected outputs and metrics.
- Statement of Impact describing key contributions and outcomes (max 800 words).
- Evidence pack: 3–5 representative works, teaching artefacts, or policy briefs.
- Two referee contacts with institutional emails.
